Obituary of Betty Mae Platt
Gouverneur- Betty Mae Platt, 74, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at her home under the care of Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of North Country Cremation Service.
Betty was born in Waterloo , NY on October 01, 1940, the daughter of Floyd and Beatrice Sherman.
She married Hampson D. Platt on Jan 03, 1959. Betty and her family moved to the Gouverneur area in 1973 to start a dairy business. She took care of her family and worked on the Platt Dairy Farm until her health declined. Betty will be deeply missed by her husband Hampson D. Platt, her five children and their spouses - Daniel and Kelly Platt of Homer, NY, Sharon and Jeffrey Sheen, Donald and Doris Platt, Thomas and Stacie Platt, all of Gouverneur, NY , Timothy and Sarah Platt, of Rensselaer Falls, NY , her 13 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
