Funeral services for Ella M. Donaldson, 68, of Gouverneur will be private. Mrs. Donaldson passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Hospice House of Jefferson County at the Ellis Farm in Watertown. Arrangements are under the direction of North Country Cremation Service. Ella M. Donaldson was born on October 19, 1947 in Gouverneur, NY. The daughter of the late Douglas and Elva (Hendrick) Simmons. She was a graduate of Gouverneur High School. She was an avid and skilled quilter, she loved to sew, cook and frequent rummage sales. She is survived by her sons; Michael Donaldson of Gouverneur and Jonathan Moody of Auburn, NY. She is survived by her grandchildren; Jesse Donaldson of Gouverneur and Olivia and Audrey Moody of Canastota and Aaron Moody of Auburn. She is survived by her brothers; Lester Simmons of Fine, NY, Gordon Simmons of Balmart, NY and Herb Simmons of Fowler, NY. She is also survived by her sister, Clara Fuller of Champlain, NY.
