Obituary of Roy I. Reilly

Funeral services for Roy I. Reilly ,78, of Dexter will be held in the spring at a time to be announced. Mr. Reilly passed away early Wednesday morning November 18, 2015 at his home in Dexter. Arrangements are under the direction of North Country Cremation Service. Roy I. Reilly was born on May 06, 1937 in Oswegatchie, NY. He was the son of the late Hubert and Lois (Hodder) Reilly. On May 14, 1983 he married Carolyn K. Waite at the Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. He was a Farm Hand for most of his career, retiring from the Porterdale Farm of Adams Center. Roy enjoyed collecting model cars, gardening and will be remembered as a man who always would give a helping hand to others. He was a past member of the Eagles Club in Watertown and a member of the Honeyville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, his daughters; Lori Jean Reilly of Syracuse, Sara Jo Boyd of Watertown and his Step-son Brian Baxter and his wife Elizabeth of Watertown. He is survived by his grandchildren Justice Boyd, Annabeth Baxter, Evan Baxter, Michael Rielly and Candace Doss. Two great grandchildren also survive him. He is also survived his brothers, Raymond Rielly of Plattsburgh, NY, Randy and Vesta Rielly of Adams, his sisters, Roberta Parker of Watertown, Rena Croom of New Mexico and Rosemary Patchen of Watertown several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Roy Reilly, Jr. and five brothers, Ralph, Richard, Ronald, and Robert Rielly and and his twin brother Rex Rielly. Three sisters Rita Patchen, Ruth and Ruby Rielly also predeceased him. Donations in Roy’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 6725 Lyons St. E. Syracuse, NY 13057.
