Obituary of Betty J. Bennett

Betty J. Bennett 70, of Potsdam N.Y. and native of Rutland, Vt. passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 25, 2015 at the home of her loving daughter and son-in-law; surrounded by her grandchildren, sister, nephew, and in-laws. Arrangements are under the direction of North Country Cremation Service. Betty was born July 12, 1945 in Norwich, Ct. the daughter of the late Alvira P. Schwartz and Edward R. Hayden. Betty is survived by her husband George Bennett of Potsdam, N.Y., three daughter's Lisa Lang Todd & her husband Doug of Chittenden, Vt., April Bennett Thompson & her husband Adam, And Becky Bennett Andrews and her husband Russell Andrews of Potsdam, N.Y. Her sister's Josephine Hayden of Rutland and Dorothy Hayden Minor and her husband Roger of Brandon, Vt. She is predeceased by her brother Edward Hayden of Rutland, Vt. Grandchildren Porsche, Addison, Johnny, Amanda, Skyler, Ian and Alana. Many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Betty enjoyed fishing & camping with her family, crossword puzzles, baking, bingo, and coffee with her many good friends. She worked for many years at the Killington Ski Resort and Vermont State Fair in Rutland, Vt. A memorial service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family in both Vt. and N.Y. In her memory contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, 6805 US Highway, Potsdam, N.Y. 13676 The family wants to extend there heartfelt appreciation to UVMC Hospital, Burlington, Vt., Potsdam Cancer Center, LinCare, and the Hospice of Potsdam, N.Y.
