Obituary of Valencia C. Miller

A Memorial Service for Valencia C. Miller, 56, of Rensselaer Falls, will be held on Wednesday, April 6 2016 at Christian Fellowship Center in Madrid NY beginning at 5 p.m. Mrs. Miller passed into the arms of the Lord on March 28, 2016 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. Born on May 25, 1959 she was the daughter of Henry and Esther Constantine. Val, as she liked to be called, graduated from Spaulding High School in Quincy MA before she attended Eastern Nazarene College. Val worked a number of jobs over the years. They ranged from Camp Ground supervisor to cleaning services. During all the years she spent working outside the home, she maintained and excelled at her two most important jobs inside the home. She was a nurturing and selfless mother to her three sons, and a loving and devout wife to her husband. Val married Ernie Miller on October 10, 1978. The marriage lasted for 37 years and was an inspiration to those who were blessed to be a part of it. Val believed strongly that a marriage required hard work and love mixed with faith and sacrifice. She exemplified all of these things and did so willingly and without fail. She was a true testimony to the things the Bible said a wife could be. She taught her family what love was. Val loved many things and people. Her faith in the Lord inspired people and the food from her garden fed them. Her handmade quilts and blankets blessed so many young children she never even met. She was selfless day and night. She will be remembered by her friends and family for her unfailing desire to please the Lord and putting others before herself. She attended Christian Fellowship Center in Madrid, NY. She was an active member in the ministry and she'll be remembered fondly for her unrelenting dedication to "Bagel Sunday." Val was survived by her Husband, Ernie, her 3 Sons, Joshua (& wife Kristin), Ernie (& wife Heather) and Jesse Miller as well as her mother, Esther. Val had 5 grandchildren that she spoiled as long as she could, Cora, Ella, Cohen, Paige and Kaleb. Her adoration of them all was surpassed only by their love for her. We miss you Val. The thought of you will always bring a smile to our hearts. Donations can be made to one of Val's favorite ministries, the Food Pantry at the Christian Fellowship Center. 3662 County Route 14, Madrid NY.
