It's absolutely wonderful to read condolences sent by those who took the time to pay tribute to my father, along with those that sent their condolences to family members that did not personally know Dad. Many of the anecdotes shared were new to me and fascinating. On behalf of me and my family, a sincere heartfelt thanks to each of you for sharing your thoughts along with those that attended the graveside cemetery service at Glenwood. God Bless...Phil

Dear Family of Brad,
I wish to offer you my sincerest condolences for the loss of Brad. We were Scouts together at Troop 11, St. Patrick's Church back in the '50s. We shared many adventures and a lot of fun together. Brad was always a good friend as well as a good Scout- had to be to become an Eagle. One thing I always remembered was his name (according to him). He said it was Ambrose Bradley Carlton David Eggleston Thomas. I asked him where Thomas came from, and he said it was his confirmation name. Why not Fred, or Frank, to complete the alphabet. He said that was why he chose Thomas, just to mess it up!
I wish I had known he was a teacher at my old school WHS- I was teaching at Gouverneur, but never met him at any teacher functions- different county, I suppose. It seems he led a really wonderful life, had a great family, and I am sure he had plenty of friends. I am proud to have been one of them. God bless you all! Bill Strong, fellow Eagle.

Mr. Eggleston was one of my favorite teachers of all time! He had a great sense of humor allowing me to kid around while still having the respect as his student. I can remember sitting in his class and drawing a portrait type characture of him sitting at the front of the room behind his desk. He caught me doing this and I remember thinking I'd be in trouble... he laughed and reflected back on the moment when I saw him years later. He was awesome and I sit here thankful he was my teacher. I did not know he was an Eagle Scout. That makes me feel good. My condolences to his family and friends.

Dear Mrs. Eggleston & Familly
I am so sorry to learn of Bradley passing. My family lived across the street from his family on Charles St. and we were always playing with each other for years. Have pictures of him on his bike as one of the neighborhood kids.
May you find strength and and love in his memories and remember he will always be with you.
May the Lord comfort you at this time.
