Obituary of Beatrice Blackburn

FULLERVILLE, NY. — Beatrice Hendrick Blackburn, 85, Fullerville, NY, passed away Jan. 10, 2017, at her home. She was born Oct. 11, 1931, in Gouverneur, NY, the daughter of Clinton and Helen Lamore Hendrick. She loved to cook for her family was an avid reader, enjoyed go to the casino and playing bingo with the senior citizens club. She also spent many years as a private caregiver. Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Paulette and Danny Chance, Theresa Nichols, and Sandra and David Horne; her brothers, Clinton and Shirley Hendrick, and Robert and Bonnie Hendrick; a sister, Linda Weir; a sister-in-law, Carol Hendrick; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father and mother and her brother, her husband, Paul Blackburn; her brother, John Hendrick; and her grandson, Arron Blackburn. There will be no services. A private spring burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Edwards. Arrangements are with North Country Cremation Service, a subsidiary of Cleveland Funeral Home, Inc.
