Obituary of Debra L. Blauvelt

Debra Lynn Blauvelt, 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Hospice of Jefferson County, Watertown. She was born in Syracuse on December 25, 1967. She leaves behind her parents, Donald and Linda Blauvelt, and her sister, Kristen Blauvelt.

Arrangements have been entrusted to North Country Cremation Service owned and operated by Cleveland Funeral Home, Inc.

She graduated from West Virginia University. She considered herself Syracuse-born, but a Mountaineer by choice. She received a Masters Degree in Education from Oswego. Debra worked at Home Depot in Clay, NY until she was diagnosed with kidney cancer. She loved visiting her parents in Naples, FL and Thousand Island Park, NY. She will be missed by her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Stephen's Church, Phoenix, NY at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception for family and friends. Contributions in her name may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601 where she received excellent care.
