Obituary of Betty I. Frazier
CALCIUM, NY – Betty I. Frazier, 86, formerly of County Road 32, passed away peacefully Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Samaritan Keep Home surrounded by the comfort of her loving family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to North Country Cremation Service, a subsidiary of Cleveland Funeral Home.
Betty was born on September 24, 1930 in the Town of Alexandria, NY, the daughter of the late John and Mary Ella Paige Side. She grew up in Alexandria and attended local schools. Upon completion of school, she was employed as a waitress at local restaurants. After her waitressing career, Betty was a homemaker, spending her time proudly raising her four children. Betty enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and attending family gatherings. She will always be remembered for her love of cooking and baking, as well as passing that love and knowledge on to the younger generations.
Surviving are her four children: Melody (Walter) Wood, Alexandria Bay, NY; David Frazier, Watertown, NY; Cecelia (Brian) Haskrey, Reno, NV; and Delia (Barney) Cox, Calcium, NY. Betty was also the loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Betty was the last surviving member of the Mr. and Mrs. John Side family, with her parents and nine siblings all passing before her.
