Obituary of Francis A. Filley
Francis A. Filley, 86 of Adams, N.Y. died at his home on Sunday January 7th, 2018. Son of Alfred Filley and Barbara Lengenfelder, born on April 19th 1931 in The Fifth Avenue Hospital NYC, N.Y.
Arrangements have been entrusted to North Country Cremation Service, owned and operated by Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown, NY.
Francis join the Air Force on February 3rd, 1951 until Feb 10th, 1954. He met his true love Janice G. Osterhout at the Sampson Air Base. They were married in Waterloo N.Y. on Jan 27th, 1955. They have four daughters, Denise Burkard, Anita Quinta, Diana Filley and Selina (Gordon) Towles. They have 9 grandchildren and also 5 great grandchildren. He also had two younger siblings predeceased, Harriett Baisden and Raymond Filley, and several nieces and nephews.
He drove tractor trailer with his brother and was a service mechanic for K&B motors and retired from Lincoln Mercury of Watertown, N.Y.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting. He was a dedicated active member of The American Legion in Adams N.Y. He trained and boarded horses. His life's passion was his photography and the family owned dog business. He enjoyed the outdoors and his family.
