Neil was quite a neighbor! We'll never forget how fast Neil ran to help Grandpa Bob Brownell, when Grandpa fell off his Gravley mower in the ditch out front. I thought I was the one with the long legs and could run fast, but Neil reached Grandpa first. Thank you, Neil, with Grandpa down to a single leg at that time. Neil took us out fishing in the Florida Keys on his glamorous and big boat from their gorgeous home on Big Pine, right out the canal and to the Atlantic! We caught so many fish that day and he fileted them and bagged them for us for a fish fry with our church friend at his home on a neighboring key. Joanne was a saint these past two plus years. She cared for Neil, called us in the wee hours to help when he fell and she was always there, never complaining. She's earned a couple of big golden halos for sure! We loved Neil and he will be missed to talk about Lake levels, or politics or taxes, his NOT favorite subject! Dustin was Jonathan good good school buddy and he spent many Cub Scout days with Cindy and our family and Jonathan and Dustin became the best of friends. We hope to see Cindy, Tracy, Dustin's family more often, now that the worry is over. And we hope Joanne finishes her quilt and gets to plant many flowers, esp the Rose of Sharon bushes!
We will miss you Neil. We love your family. Kathryn, Dan, Sara Elaine, and Jonathan W Brownell

Joanne and family: I was saddened to learn of Neil's passing. He and I were very close for a while in high school. He would walk me home from downtown. I remember him as a kind, loving, gentle soul. I will pray for your comfort and peace. Sending my love to you and your family, Lois Hilts Fowler.

Neil and I attended school together and as I was a military dependent upon entering General Brown he befriended me. His partner Joanne is my cousin and remember when I had first met my life partner Ann, we met them at a high school reunion. We had a very pleasant evening. Will miss Neil and am saddened by his passing, always enjoyed talking with him and exchanging past experiences.

Neil & Joanne have been our neighbors on Pillar Point for many years. Neil shared the fruits of his hunting and fishing trips with our family, and he volunteered to help when my husband and brother-in-law replaced our garage roof. Our dogs Guinness and then Kona loved Neil, who always greeted them with affection.
We miss you Neil.
