As a recruit my first assignment was working midnights in Unit C. This was in the days before Field Training Officers, but Tim unofficially filled that role. He had the ability to talk to people and treated everyone with respect. He will be missed. Rest in peace Brother.

To the Mason Family,
I worked with Officer Tim Mason, and his dedicated service was well respected in the community. I did not see him much after his retirement, however we did have a meeting when he purchased "Walk of Honor" bricks for two of his fellow officers. Officer Charles Griffo, and Officer Mary Krollman. The two bricks were placed along side of his brick, and we are grateful for his memorial contribution. Tim will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

As a new Investigator assigned to Lake Section I learned a lot by observing Tim's mild manner and demeanor. He was so compassionate and represented the Police Department so well in the NW area of the City. It was a pleasure to work with him and he will be missed by all who knew him including so many of us RPD retirees.

I worked with Tim for several years in Lake Section. He was a good Police Officer who enjoyed his work and was one who could be counted upon to help the rest of us. Rest in peace, Tim.

Tim was the police officer that patrolled the section of the City of Rochester where my parents had several businesses. He became an important part of our lives when we were the victims of a serious robbery and assault that left my father critically injured. He helped us through the legal process. We considered him part of our family. I went on to have a great career with RPD mainly due to Tim's friendship and guidance. You and your family are in our thoughts. Rest in peace.

I was in Tim's class of '61 at Sackets. He took me to the senior prom. And he was a kind and fun-loving member of our group of friends which included Joe Bellinger and Aloha Humphrey.
Rest in peace, my friend. You brought joy to many.
